George Whitty

George Whitty is a musician with a 40-year career that spans 30 years touring with many of the top contemporary jazz groups in the world, producing 4 Grammy-winning CDs (with a nomination for a 5th in 2022), a 2014 Emmy award for his television composing, and a body of high-profile arranging and production work, most recently for Herbie Hancock and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, for whom he’s arranged 7 pieces for the orchestra. Musicians with whom he’s performed and recorded include the Brecker Brothers (30 years now), Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, David Sanborn, Celine Dion, Gino Vannelli, Chaka Khan, Lee Ritenour, Frank Gambale, Eric Marienthal, and dozens of other well-known artists.
